There is lots to see and do in the area surrounding Knockranny House, from the charming town of Westport and the tranquillity of Clew Bay, to the untouched countryside of Mayo or even a walk along the Pilgrims Trail, 765m to the summit of Croagh Patrick, where St Patrick reputedly banished the snakes from Ireland. Hill walking, cycling, fishing and archery can be arranged locally.
